Haden’s career took off as he hit key milestones early. At 12, he helped lead his team to the Little League World Series, and by 14, he had his first elbow surgery. By 17, he was on the Team USA 40-man roster, ranked as the second-best player in Louisiana, and had committed to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. However, a shoulder injury led to him being cut from the team after two years. Despite this setback, Haden persevered, attending Seminole State College where he became one of the top junior college players in the country and earned offers from major universities such as Florida State, LSU, and West Virginia
After battling knee surgery and a period of self-doubt, Haden regained his focus at the University of Tampa, where he earned First Team All-American honors before moving on to professional baseball in the independent leagues. His strong performance led to being signed by the Tampa Bay Rays as an undrafted free agent. In 2023, Haden impressed in affiliate baseball, striking out 35% of batters faced and earning an invitation to play in the Arizona Fall League. Though his 2024 season in Double-A didn't meet his expectations, Haden remains driven to reach the major leagues and is committed to using his experience to help others achieve success in the game. Erbe will leverage his experience and expertise to provide valuable insights that support player development. We are thrilled to have him on the team and look forward to the impact he will make.
